Browse through my blog, you will notice for the 4 years throughout my blogger livelihood, I was never much of an 'all-black' lover... I just didn't look as good in full black as compared to my other colourful looks. But once in a while when I dress up in black, there has to be a featuring item that catches the eye. This time, it's my faux shearling suede jacket.

Confession:
You may think the skirt looked great in this photoshoot, but it was a purchase that I regret for the following reasons.

I never really get to wear this semi-see-through maxi skirt from H&M although it has been kept in my wardrobe for about a year. First off, in terms of practicality, the cotton skirt does keep warm partially where my one leg is securely covered, but the other leg that's being exposed normally has to battle in the cold. In terms of diversity, the maxi skirt is very tight fit and plain there isn't much I can opt for the top. I look odd either in a tight fitted shirt or a loose oversize sweater.

Solution:
I paired the full length skirt with a crop top, by revealing my waistline it recreates a proportionate body line. The bold statement top also draws attention to the upper part of the body and elongates the entire figure.

Fellow fashion lovers, I am eager for suggestions regarding how to dress up in maxi skirts. Please feel free to share with me your thoughts! Cheers for now x
