No matter it's winter or summer for me, it's essential to add a pop of colour to my daily outfit. For a summer working day, colours like yellow, orange and shocking pink are on top of my list as bright colours are flattering to your skin, as long as you don't have a very wide figure. I'm not saying people of bigger size can never wear colourful dresses, but they'll have to be more cautious in their choices of outfit in terms of size and length.

Before I purchased this yellow top from H&M, a similar designed yellow top has caught my attention. However, the round necked design does not look very appealing on me, as it gives the illusion of a shorter neck. Therefore, it is always important to try on outfits before you make the purchase! I always enjoy my time in the fitting rooms mixing and matching outfits before I decide to splurge my money on it. Later on, I found a the very top from H&M which looks essentially similar in design, even the ruffled sleeves!! This time the yellow top comes with a buttoned up v-neck design, decorated with a pleated front, which suits my body figure better and at the same time costed LESS. I was thrilled to find out I made the right decision when I reluctantly abandoned the one I fitted in Zara :)

Back to my work outfit, I picked a navy blue and white flared skirt to complete the summery look with a high contrasting colour. Looking too much like a student? The matching coloured blazer does the magic! I loved this blue and yellow working attire so much it oozes energy and youth at work.
