I've been working for about 2.5 weeks now. Finally it's another Sunday. I used to hate coffee when I was younger, even the smell of it makes me sick. Until one day, a friend of mine introduced me 'mocha', a.k.a. chocolate mixed with coffee. From that day onward, I switched from drinking mocha to cappuccino, cappuccino to latte, and from there to black coffee through out my university years. Anyway, that was my story about coffee and lately I've been very addictive to this hot drink. When I heard that the Coffee Academics is new in town, I decided to try on it. The flagship store opened in Causeway bay is beautifully designed with red bricks, installed with cozy sofas and decorated in European style. A good choice for chilling with friends, or a Sunday read. I didn't have the chance to visit the flagship in Causeway bay yet, instead I took a 10 minute walk from home to the Coffee Academics in Wan Chai, opposite to York Place. The environment is less fancy than the one I passed by in Causeway bay, but still a look out in the busy metropolitan. My cousin and I each had a cup of latte, to my disappointment, I have had better coffee in Cafe Habitu or Starbucks. If you are not very picky about the quality of coffee and just want to spend some great time with your friends, I'd strongly recommend the Coffee Academics. Maybe try the flagship for better quality guarantee!
